Make charity a Habit
The Habit Burger Grill will open its first Arizona location on Wednesday, May 25 at Guadalupe and McClintock in south Tempe. You can get a sneak peak of the menu during charity tie-in events this month.
• From noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, The Habit will donate 100 percent of all proceeds to Ryan House. It will re-open from 5 to 7 p.m. that day to donate all proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
• On Monday, May 23, The Habit will be open from noon to 2pm with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley.
Best known for its $2.95 made-to-order “Charburgers,” The Habit also serves hearty grilled sandwiches, freshly-prepared specialty salads tossed to order, onion rings, sweet potato fries and a variety of hand-blended shakes and malts. The Habit, which operates more than 35 locations in California, will open its second and third Arizona locations this summer in Chandler and in Central Phoenix.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is making this prom and graduation season memorable by introducing an all-inclusive “Prime Celebrations” dinner menu. A complete three-course dinner is $50 per guest, including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and families have the option of prepaying the bill. The special dinner menu is available through June 30.
Kids eat free at Dickey’s
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, reminds us that kids eat free at this family-owned and operated restaurant every Sunday.
Dickey’s is best known for slow-smoked meats and side dishes including traditional favorites like creamy coleslaw, barbecue beans and potato salad and a signature creations like baked potato casserole and jalapeno beans.
